To Whom it May Concern:
Lunch Works will make your lives simpler! It has certainly
been the answer to our problems.
Our school student population has doubled, so the manual
handling of cafeteria ordering was difficult to say the least.
We were all hesitant to rely on a software program, but the ease
of use for both staff and parents has convinced us.
The time savings is phenomenal! Personally, I am saving
a minimum of 25 hours each month on paper handling alone!
The accuracy is another major benefit. Each parent prints
their own copy of the order, which saves our paper costs
and assures accuracy of what was ordered. The class breakdown
listing assures that every student receives the lunch on
the correct day!
From the very beginning, their customer service has been
outstanding. From customizing the program, to entering
student data, and readily available training assistance,
they have been understanding, patient and helpful.
Please feel free to call me with any questions!

We also realized that this probably was a good time to

We researched and looked to find some type of web-based
ordering system so that each family could input the orders for
their own children. We discovered Lunch Works.
Their system is very user-friendly and easy to learn and
actually makes the process of delivering food to our children
easier for all parties involved. They have reports to print
out totals for a day, totals by classroom,
and how much money a family owes. Menus and dates are all set
up and makes ordering a very simple process for our families.
We are glad to have partnered with Lunch Works and we feel
fortunate to have a great ordering system that is easy to use.

To those considering Lunch Works:
Upon deciding to use the Lunch Works system with our school's
hot lunch program, it only took a couple days for our school
to be set up. In addition, we were able to actually take orders
within two weeks
The response from our parents has been overwhelming. In the past,
all of the lunch orders had to be manually processed and tallied
monthly, which took a great deal of time and "mom power". I've
received comments like "This is a fantastic idea!" and
"Congratulations on the the new hot lunch ordering system! I found
it to be really easy to use." The process is simple and
user-friendly, especially for people like me who don't
consider themselves computer proficient!

To Whom It May Concern:
Our school began using the Lunch Works online lunch order system in September
of this year. If you are considering Lunch Works for your school lunch
orders, please know that I give the software and Jeff Molby my highest
recommendations.
Our school had been searching since last spring for an online lunch order
program that would be easy for parents to use and flexible enough to handle
our lunch menu with meal choices and prices that both vary from day to day.
We had been using a manual “ticket” process that was very labor intensive
to administer and left a great deal of room for errors.
Our technology coordinator learned about Lunch Works during a search on the
Internet in September. I contacted Jeff Molby, and our school was set up
on the system within a few days. Throughout every step of implementing Lunch
Works, they have provided timely and helpful support when needed.
The system is very easy for the parents/students to use to input their lunch
orders. After only 2 months of lunch orders, over 90% of the families at our
school were using the system. It is much less cumbersome for the families
to enter their lunch orders online than with the old ticket process. In
addition, their total payment due for the month is provided for them, so they
do not have to manually add the cost of the lunches.
From an administrative standpoint, the system has saved countless hours. Each
month, I am able to set up the menu for the month in about a half hour. The
system is flexible enough to allow us to have separate menus and prices for our
students and the faculty. It is also easy to vary the menu items from day to
day. This has allowed me the opportunity to add some new choices to the menu.
The “Reports” feature of Lunch Works also makes my job much easier. I am able
to enter and track the payments made by the families each month. At the click
of the mouse, I am able to print out the total lunch orders for the school by
day. I use these totals to place the orders for the vendors who provide our
meals. Also at the click of the mouse, I am able to print the lists of orders
by classroom for each day, and these lists are used by the parent volunteers
who hand out the lunches.
The benefits and savings of Lunch Works greatly outweigh the small cost of the
software. The reports that are generated provide an accurate count of meals
needed, so I do not have to order large buffer quantities of meals. By eliminating
our ticket process, the amount of paper used by the lunch program has been reduced
to approximately 1/6 of what it used to be. Also, we are saving school employee
labor because we no longer have to have copies made of the blank tickets each month.
There are intrinsic savings because we now have traceability through every step of
the lunch process. We have documentation of orders placed and payments made by the
families, so we are able to quickly resolve any discrepancies. By keeping track of
the lunches we hand out using the class lists, we also have documentation that can
be used if there are discrepancies with the vendors.
Again, I give Lunch Works my highest recommendation. If you have any questions,
please feel free to contact me via e-mail at lunch_stpaddys_org.
